The Americana Kittens
July 4 2019, Gibby X Prince Harry
Aptly named, this litter of kittens was born to Tuftscoons queen Gibby and stud Tuftscoons Prince Harry on July 4 2019, the American holiday. It was only fitting that they each receive a name representative of the southern United States. For Tuftscoons, this was one of the larger litters our Queens have had. As a first time mom, Gibby took on the monumental task of feeding, cleaning and supervising like a real trooper. Babies were nursing right away, which always makes us worry less when we don't have to intervene with bottle supplementing. Momma's milk is always best! Gibby was, shall we say, 'fully-prepared' to take on that task. Kittens ranged from 3-1/2 ounces to 4-1/2 ounces at birth. Time will tell which ones tilt the scales at eighteen to 20+ lbs., which is not uncommon for these massive gentle giants when fully grown. But for now, they are just cute, cuddly and extremely playful little furballs.

These first twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks are critical for providing the very best opportunity to ensure healthy, well balanced and socially affectionate, curious, playful kittens when they arrive in their forever homes and surroundings. All kittens are checked thoroughly by our fabulously attentive veterinarian, Dr. Ravi and his support staff at Simcoe Rossland Animal Hospital in Oshawa, Ontario. Tuftscoons kittens are each monitored, vaccinated and will be registered prior to being adopted into their human families. Once spaying or neutering has been confirmed, the human parents receive the kitten’s official registration paperwork.
